Bookcase Krossing is a system produced by Kriptonite, the historic Italian brand that produces aluminum bookcases and furnishing accessories, with a unique and unmistakable design.
The Krossing wall system, made simply with aluminum shelves and tubes, is designed to hold a large number of books (but also CDs, DVDs, etc.) with minimal encumbrance.
The Krossing, once filled, tends to “disappear” to leave maximum space for books, CDs, DVDs, perfumes, spices, brushes, jars, coffee, etc …

To purchase your library select the necessary elements: the number of shelves and the number of spacer tubes. It is not difficult, read the whole announcement well then start to select the necessary elements, indicating the necessary quantity.

Shelves are 15 cm deep and are available in the following lengths: 34, 67, 100, 133, 166, 200 cm.

Custom lengths can be obtained for a small surcharge. To get information about particular measures write a message.

Spacer tubes have four different heights: 15, 20, 25, 33 cm. Using the 15 cm high tubes you can create a space suitable for holding CDs, with those 20 cm high one suitable for holding DVDs and with those 25 cm high one suitable for books. Finally, 33 cm is a suitable height to contain bottles if we will use the Krossing in the kitchen.

Available colors: natural aluminum, matt white, matt black + other special colors with an increase in the final price.

Once you have selected the quantity of shelves, tubes and color, we can click on “Add to Cart” and continue with the payment to complete the order.

Regarding the assembly it is simply a matter of joining the shelves you have chosen with the tubes. You can do everything by hand, without using other tools. However, consult the Assembly Instructions that you find into packages

As you can see it is very simple and you can also compose particular and customized shapes.

Currently the preparation of each order takes about 4-5 weeks.

Krossing MIDI – Wall and/or floor modular bookcase

Krossing Midi is an evolution of the famous Krossing system produced by Kriptonite. Krossing Midi has a peculiarity: a structure can be configured to be fixed to the wall, or a base can be added so as to rest the structure on the floor, securing it to the wall.

The Krossing Midi wall system, made simply with shelves and aluminum tubes, is designed to contain a large number of books, but not only, with minimal space.

To purchase your Krossing Midi bookcase, select the necessary elements: the quantity of shelves and the quantity of spacer tubes.
The shelves are 20 cm deep and are available in lengths of 40, 80, 120, 160, 200 cm. Custom lengths can be obtained for a small surcharge. To get information about particular measures, write a message.

The spacer tubes have two heights: 25 and 33 cm.

The available colors are: natural aluminium, matt white, matt black. Other special finishes that can be obtained with a surcharge are in the price list.

Once the quantity of shelves, tubes and color has been selected, we can click on “Add to Cart” and continue with the payment to complete the order.

Krossing Maxi is a system produced by Kriptonite, the historic Italian brand that produces aluminum bookcases and furnishing accessories with a unique and unmistakable design.

Krossing Maxi is a modular floor bookcase, simple, light, but very spacious and resistant, suitable for books and large books. Once assembled, this structure rests on the ground and is fixed to the wall with a stop to give maximum stability.

The bookcase is composed of a base module that rests on the ground.

The base module has 4 cm height, 25 cm depth, and four lengths: 50, 100, 150, 200 cm.

Once the base has been chosen, we must choose the tubes that will distance the first shelf. The tubes have 3 heights: 26 cm, 33 cm and 39.5 cm. We will choose pairs of tubes.

Now we insert the shelves, as many as we want. It is also possible to insert a wooden box between the shelves. possible colors: Oak, walnut Canaletto, white or black.

We can also compose articulated structures with different shapes from the usual pattern.

The colors available in the price list are: aluminum, matt white, matt black. It is possible to request a particular color, just indicate the RAL code of the desired color.

Assembly is very simple, check the assembly instructions on how to assemble it.

K2 Kriptonite pressure bookcase between floor and ceiling

K2 is a metal bookcase by Kriptonite, a pressure system between floor and ceiling composed of uprights, shelves and containers.

It’s double-sided and we can easily insert it to divide a room. With K2 we are able to formulate multiple solutions for the living area and the night area.
Available in colors: anodised aluminium, semi-gloss white, matt white, green, orange, matt black.
Shelves and drawers or containers can be made of wood instead of metal.
The K2 bookcase is fixed to pressure between floor and ceiling and the floor should not be pierced!
K2 can be composed of a single span (a column) or by several spans, as many as we want.
UPRIGHTS

The uprights are considered:

a) side uprights ( those that are outside the structure ).

b) central uprights ( those that are in the center in case there are two or more spans ).

If we want to create:

– a single-span bookcase, we need two side uprights.

– two spans bookcase, we need two side uprights and a central upright.

– three spans bookcase, we need two side uprights and two central uprights.
The uprights must be as high as our ceiling. We must indicate the height of the ceiling in the “Additional customizations” section.
The maximum ceiling height can be 4 meters.

If the ceiling exceeds 310 cm we will also need to place an extension in the cart for each upright.
SHELVES
Every 10 cm on the upright there is the possibility of fixing a shelf.
The shelves can be 60 cm, 75 cm, 90 cm or 120 cm wide, and can be 29 cm or 36 cm deep.
We choose those that interest us the most.

Furthermore, the shelf can have the edges facing down (and we will call this simple shelf) or it can have an edge, the rear one, raised, so as to stop the books resting them against (raised edge shelf).
There are also wooden shelves. They have the same dimensions and metal hooks are provided to fix them to the uprights.
DRAWERS AND CONTAINERS
We can also insert drawers, which are very easily fixed in the same place as the shelves. There are a single drawer, a double drawer and a container with a flap opening that we can choose to open from bottom to top or vice versa.
These elements also have a width of 60 cm, 75 cm or 90 cm.

The depth instead can be 36 cm or 44 cm.
Drawers and containers are of excellent workmanship, with a locked stroke guide.

There are drawers and containers, also in different types, in wood.

Consult the attached image in “Choose drawers and wooden containers” where we find the types of containers provided.
ASSEMBLY
K2 Kriptonite’s assembly is extremely simple.

a) We fix some shelves to the uprights with the supplied screws.

b) We partially compose the standing bookcase.

c) We adjust the position with the level, we verify if the uprights are vertical and the shelves are horizontal and we tighten the wheels that are located at the ends of the uprights, one against the floor and one against the ceiling.

d) We fix that to the ceiling.
e) We add other shelves and eventually drawers, and that’s it.

If we mount the bookcase near the wall, it could be useful (especially if the ceiling is over 3 meters high or the ceiling is in plasterboard), fix the uprights to the wall with wall hooks.
Inside the package, there is a sheet with clear assembly instructions.

System of shelves that can be used both with direct fixing to the wall and positioned at variable height on uprights to be fixed to the wall.

Shelves and uprights in natural anodised extruded aluminum.

Bookends (optional) in chromed steel.

The shelves are supplied with plugs and screws for fixing to the wall, which can also be used for the uprights.

Maximum allowed weight: 50 kg for each shelf.

The shelves have two widths: 60 cm and 90 cm and two depths: 15.5 cm and 22 cm

You can choose and buy only the shelves to be used directly or you can choose the elements necessary to compose the customized bookcase according to your needs.

In this case, select the uprights, shelves, bookends and hooks for uprights, finally “Add to Cart“.

The bookcase can be made up of one or more spans. If we want a bookcase with two spans ( two columns), 3 uprights are required, etc.

Once the uprights have been installed, simply hook the shelves.

Rotative Krossing is composed of a basic module (rotating) and additional modules.

The modules are square in shape and have the dimensions 33 X 33 cm.

The modules have three heights, 15, 20 and 25 cm.

The height of 25cm is suitable for storing books, while the height of 15cm is suitable for storing CDs and the height of 20cm is suitable for storing DVDs.

To compose the Rotative Krossing you simply need to join a “Basic Module” with “Additional Module”. We can add as many as we wish up to a maximum of 10.
